Allan Rose is an orphan awakener with the potential to become one of the strongest S-rankers, but he has remained at level one for eight years. Though he dreams of reaching his full potential, he lives as a poor F-ranker and steals to feed himself. When his best friend persuades him to join an illegal expedition, Allan hopes to experience life as a true awakener. The expedition goes wrong, and he nearly dies, but he survives—and discovers that whatever prevented him from leveling up is gone. Now able to grow stronger, Allan works to gain power so he can bring happiness and luxury to his orphanage family.
