In a war-torn future, soldier Sawamura Soushi befriends Nadeko, a young flower girl with a plant growing from her heart. When danger threatens her, Nadeko confesses her love and protects him with a sudden burst of plant growth from her body. Sawamura learns that flower girls and their partners form a special squad, and that a flower girl’s abilities awaken when she falls in love. But he wonders whether he can truly love Nadeko, who is ten years younger, and be a good partner to her. Awakening also causes the flowers inside the girls to grow, leaving these flower girl soldiers with little time to live. Sawamura and Nadeko must face what that means for their time together.
