Kanshakudama no Yuutsu

Kanshakudama no Yuutsu collects four stories about young people navigating crushes, misunderstandings, and the choices love brings. In “Short-Tempered Melancholic,” ninja Kajika Yamano protects her family’s legendary weapon until a boy she likes says she should be more ladylike, prompting her to vow to give up ninja activities. In “This Love is Nonfiction,” Yuri sends her pen pal Ryo a photo of her prettier best friend Karin, then must send Karin to meet him. “Romance in the Afternoon Rain” follows Minori, who hopes to grow closer to Takato—the boy who once shared his umbrella with her—by leaving hers behind whenever it rains. In “Second Time in Love,” Mana secretly likes her friend’s boyfriend, while the younger Nakamura is determined to win Mana’s heart.
