Kemono Jihen

A Tokyo detective who specializes in the mysterious investigates strange deaths in a remote mountain town. The victims are animal carcasses that rot away after a single night, and the case brings him into contact with a peculiar boy who works in the fields instead of attending school. Shunned by his peers and nicknamed “Dorotabo” after a mud-dwelling yokai, the boy helps the detective uncover the truth behind the killings. Supernatural forces are involved, and the nickname may not be the only thing about him that is other than human.
