Kenji

Kenji follows a Japanese teenager whose practice of Bajiquan leads him into encounters with martial artists from many different traditions. Some of those he meets are based on real martial artists, including Adam Hsu and Liu Chia-Liang. Bajiquan is central to the series, which also features styles such as Praying Mantis Kung Fu, Bagua Zhang, Chen Taiji Quan, Xingyi Quan, Shaolin Quan, Hung Gar, Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu and Shotokan Karate. Kenji’s nemesis is Tony Tan, a gangster who practices Hung Gar and later Xinyi Liuhequan.
