Kimetsu no Yaiba Gaiden collects side stories and a gag spin-off featuring characters from Demon Slayer. The stories include Tomioka Giyuu’s life before he meets Tanjirou and Rengoku Kyoujurou’s early days as a young demon hunter taking on his family’s role as the Flame Pillar. In Rengoku’s story, rumors say man-eating demons hide in the forest and a demon slayer hunts them at night, keeping local townspeople from venturing out after dark. The collection also includes Kimetsu no Aima!, a four-panel gag manga with chibi versions of the main series’ characters, including stories covered by the anime.
