Sul is a devoted gardener whose rare plants fill his yard in the middle of a concrete city. When townspeople condemn his gardening and set the yard ablaze, Sul is blinded and falls into a coma in the hospital. His niece waits anxiously for him to wake. In his coma, Sul finds himself in a world of trees unlike any he has ever seen. It seems at first to be an ideal refuge, but beneath its beauty and calm he soon encounters unmistakable cruelty.
