In a world where magic has become a sophisticated technology, students at First High School are ranked according to their entrance exam results. Those with high scores enter the First Course, while students with lower scores are assigned to the Second Course. Siblings Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba both attend the school. Miyuki excels and joins the First Course, while Tatsuya’s poor score puts him among the Second Course students, known as “Weeds.” Though his magical aptitude is considered low, Tatsuya has exceptional technical knowledge, combat abilities, and unusual magical skills that make him an anomaly at the school.
