In a small port town, a legend tells of cats who sometimes become human boys and choose lonely girls to live with. Only the girls they choose can see the cats in human form, and the cats call them “witches.” The story follows these girls and the cats who share their lives. Together, they offer one another comfort, tend to each other’s hurt, and search for the magic of happiness, one step at a time.
