This collection follows young women navigating crushes, relationships, and the surprises of being seen differently than they expect. In the first three stories, a mixed-race girl who attracts attention for her looks pursues Tsuchiya, a boy whose appeal shifts as he grows cooler, even while his behavior leaves her worried. Another story reunites a girl with her cousin Arata, who returns from the United States transformed from a timid child—and steals her first kiss. In the final story, a girl in the judo club falls for Kazuki, the only boy who treats her as girly, but he is already smitten with the person he believes made his favorite cake. He does not know she baked it herself.
