Nejimakiboshi to Aoi Sora

Six months after a meteor strike kills his mother and devastates his island home, a boy finds himself caught up in a mystery no one will openly explain. Everyone knows the impact was caused by a crashed alien ship, but no one confirms it. Then a girl literally falls from the sky and lands on him. She takes him hostage from the people hunting her, but he soon learns she comes from outer space. His mother taught him never to leave a damsel in distress, and that lesson guides him as he faces the situation around her.
