Japan is accustomed to earthquakes, and the country is generally prepared for them. But one scientist believes a recent quake has set a disaster in motion that will cause Japan to sink beneath the sea within a year. He must convince others before it is too late. Also known as Japan Sinks, the story is based on the novel and film of the same name. Its focus may initially seem to lie elsewhere before turning to the threat the scientist has uncovered.
