Charlotte, the third princess of Forsyth, is scorned as a false princess and treated cruelly. At a royal ball, a mysterious man shields her sister and curses Charlotte, who is then sent to a northern villa under the pretense of receiving medical care. Instead, the curse turns her into a young child. Starting over, Charlotte devotes herself to studying magical plants. Then a letter brings unexpected news: she is engaged. When she meets Leon, head of a ducal house, she panics about her childlike appearance and introduces herself as Shirley, a maid.
