Ha Yeseo asks Seo Jiheon for a divorce, believing their marriage was never real and that he has never loved her. To Jiheon, she has long been more than a wife: he has been her guardian, while his first love for her has gone unreturned. Yeseo accepts that she could never be a woman he loved, whether they married or shared a bed, and sees divorce as the end of his long-held feelings. But Jiheon refuses to let her go. When she says their marriage is over, he dismisses the divorce papers and insists they begin making their relationship real.
