Patlabor

In a near future threatened by global warming, giant machines called Labors are used in reconstruction projects around the world. Japan’s Project Babylon relies on them for land reclamation, while Labors also serve civilian, police, and military roles. As terrorists, criminals, thugs, and guerrillas turn to Labors to make themselves heard or carry out illegal activities, the National Police Agency forms the Special Vehicles Division. This dedicated Labor-equipped task force is charged with preventing and responding to Labor-related crime and terrorism.
