Phantom Brave Ivoire Monogatari

Marona, a thirteen-year-old girl who can speak to and control ghosts, must become a Chroma to earn a living after losing her parents. Living on Phantom Isle, she faces hardship as a Chroma: many people scorn her as the “Cursed Girl” because of her powers. She is not alone, however. Ash, the ghost of her parents’ friend and fellow Chroma, stays by her side. Before they died on a mission, Marona’s parents asked Ash to protect their daughter, and he does his best to shield her from the difficulties of the world.
