Planetes

Six years after a spaceflight accident takes the life of his beloved wife, Yuri works aboard the Toy Box, clearing debris from orbital flight paths. He is haunted by the loss as he joins a crew tasked with keeping space routes clear of dangerous junk. The team includes Hachimaki, a confident debris cleaner who feels at home in the orbital ocean; Fee, a chain-smoking, tough-edged beauty; and Pops, a veteran orbital mechanic whose warm, reassuring presence helps ease the pressures of the work.
