Qualia the Purple

At school, Hatou Gaku befriends Marii Yukari, a girl with purple eyes who sees every living thing as a robot. Her unusual way of seeing the world has caused trouble before, including the loss of a childhood best friend, but Yukari insists that her vision is real and says it lets her recognize what others can do. Gaku initially thinks Yukari is simply strange, then discovers she has unexpected talents: she can fix anything, and even the police seek her insights. Yukari is not the only person with purple eyes, but people who see humans as other things do not all regard those things in the same way. The key difference is whether humans seem as insignificant as objects, or objects as important as people.
