A fierce lawyer and a novice worker help people who feel trapped in abusive workplaces find a way to quit. Shiranui and Riko confront the problems of “black companies,” where harassment, excessive workloads, unfair wages, and impossible targets can make leaving seem impossible. Through their work at a resignation agency, the story examines what work means and whether quitting a job is really an act of running away. It follows Shiranui and Riko as they face the struggles of workers seeking a last resort against exploitative employers.
