Saturn Apartments

In a future where humanity has left Earth to preserve it, people live in a vast ring-shaped structure thirty-five kilometers above the planet. The ring is divided by status, with residents on higher floors holding greater standing. After junior high graduation, Mitsu, the son of a low-ranking window washer, must take up his father’s work when his father disappears and is presumed dead. As Mitsu adjusts to working life, his job gives him a view into the living spaces—and lives—of the ring’s varied residents.
