After her engagement is broken off by the countess, baron’s daughter Sophia Lenish is cast out. Exhausted and in tears, she collapses in a forest and falls asleep, only to wake with a sword at her throat. With nowhere to go, Sophia faces an unexpected threat. The person who takes her in is Marquis Gilbert Forster, a powerful magic knight known as the “Black Knight.” He asks her to stay by his side, though Sophia worries she would only be a burden.
