The Empress Wants To Avoid the Emperor

Louise decides to leave her role as empress after realizing that years of labor for an incompetent emperor will earn her nothing but an early grave. She plans to find a job in the palace and secure a steady paycheck instead. Before she can celebrate the prospect of divorce, her husband is abruptly removed from the throne and replaced by his long-lost brother, Regan. Regan declares that he will keep Louise as his empress. She says she would rather serve as his subordinate than be his woman, but her new employer insists she must be both.
