The King's ForbiddenFlower

Peony Marshall, a noble-born young woman with little left but memories of her childhood friend and first love, Zach, prepares to become a nun. She prays each day for one last chance to see him, until Zach—whose true identity is King Ernest Edward—finds her and takes her to the palace as his imperial concubine. There, Peony discovers how erratic Ernest can be and begins to fear for her life. She must find out what lies behind his strangely split personality and whether she can survive in his grasp.
