The Monster Princess’s Courtship

Sereniel, once admired for her beauty, is branded the “Monster Princess” after a mysterious curse leaves a mark on her face. Her parents distance themselves from her, and she becomes isolated, with only the knight Kassel continuing to treat her as he always has. Believing her curse makes her unworthy of love, Sereniel gives up on her feelings for him. One night at a party, Sereniel encounters Kassel after he has been given an aphrodisiac, and they spend the night together. They later marry by royal decree, but Sereniel feels guilty, convinced she has taken away Kassel’s chance at a happy future. She asks him for a divorce so he can be free; Kassel refuses to let her go. As Sereniel doubts she can be loved and Kassel fights to keep her, their romance remains uncertain.
