The NIS Rookie
국정원 말단직원 / NIS entry-level employee
Ongoing
A routine assignment monitoring the Yalu River bridge becomes an unlikely gateway to international incidents for a rookie South Korean intelligence officer. After an easy recommendation during his military service leads to special recruitment by the NIS, he becomes a Grade-7 civil servant without taking an exam and is stationed in Dandong, China. He expects the quiet post to provide a steady income, but one unusually well-paid night shift draws him into events far beyond his ordinary duties. As incidents keep pulling him in, things somehow work out thanks to his absurd luck.
