Ivan Demoni Berlite, Duke of Berlite, is cursed by love and given only a short time to live after his perfectly ordinary shadow suddenly disappears. Since he has never loved anyone before, he initially thinks the curse will be no problem. Nella, a nurse at Nelson Hospital, has always been accompanied by a little candy fairy. Disappointed that the fairy never reveals himself, she devises a plan to discover his identity—but an entirely unexpected being intrudes into her life.
