The Skilless Seraph

In a world where magic shapes civilization, Skills determine how far a person can rise. Warriors develop sword techniques, mages master powerful spells, and adventurers grow stronger by challenging monsters whose Levels and Ranks determine the danger they pose. But Kael Vorin is different. Despite possessing both water and wind magic, Kael has never been able to acquire a single Skill. No matter how hard he trains, the System refuses to recognize his progress, leaving him at a disadvantage in a world where Skills can mean the difference between life and death. Six years ago, Kael witnessed the torture of his beloved older brother, Lucian, and his sister-in-law, Seraphina. The masked attackers took them away alive, leaving Kael and his childhood friend, Elara Nyx, with unanswered questions and a trauma neither can forget. That night, Kael made a promise. He would become strong enough to protect the people he loved. He would never allow such a tragedy to happen again. Now sixteen, Kael and Elara set their sights on the prestigious Royal Academy, hoping to grow stronger and uncover the truth behind their family's disappearance. Yet Kael possesses something no ordinary examination can explain: five mysterious black orbs that float outside his body, an unusual physical attribute with abilities that remain locked. Legends whisper of an unheard sixth orb, but nobody knows whether it truly exists—or what it might mean. And buried deep within Kael lies an even greater secret. A royal Seraph, an immensely powerful celestial being, lives inside him without his knowledge. Only ten humans in the world can possess a Seraph's Blessing at any given time, and no one knows why they are chosen. As dangerous monsters, powerful rivals, ancient mysteries, and hidden enemies await him, Kael must find a way to survive in a world that has already decided he is worthless. But what happens when the boy who cannot gain Skills possesses a power that the world itself cannot understand?
