Leon is an adventurer in an S-rank party whose unique Cancelling skill nullifies enemy attack magic. Though his ability helps the party in battle, its leader, Lloyd, summons Leon one day and expels him. After setting out alone, Leon comes across his childhood friend Sophia and her party in a dangerous situation. He helps them, and Sophia invites him to join her group. Starting over with his childhood friends, Leon sets out to rise from his expulsion and pursue strength together with them.
