Untouchable Lady

Hilise is asked by her dignified brother to die in place of Gabrielle, their stepsister, for the first and last time he will ever ask her a favor. After a life of misery, this is the seventh time Hilise has been betrayed and killed, and she has no lingering feelings left. Rather than be swayed by love again, Hilise decides she will abandon the people who have hurt her first. Her brother’s plea marks the end of her willingness to sacrifice herself for them.
