Zetsuen no Tempest

Yoshino Takigawa visits the graves of his friend Mahiro Fuwa’s parents and sister, where he meets Evangeline Yamato, who is searching for Mahiro. Mahiro disappeared a month earlier to hunt the person who killed his family, though he has no clues to their identity. Evangeline says two places where he was seen have been quarantined because of an epidemic. While Evangeline questions Yoshino at gunpoint, Mahiro suddenly appears and stops bullets in mid-air. He says he is assisting Hakaze Kusaribe, the strongest sorceress, who has promised to use her magic to help him find his family’s killer so he can kill them himself. Mahiro explains that the epidemic is a curse turning living things into metal, caused by sorcerers, and warns that it is only the beginning.
